Innocence

This is a picture of my little brother that I took for fun, but that ended up being a theme for my next project. Innocence was just so clear through his eyes and I had to post this up.

Book of people

I like how they seem to be more part of the book than they are just pasted. The one on the left's colors seem to be part of the book as well, While the one on the right stands out more.

Blue World

The truth is i don't really know why I uploaded this picture. It is original and very special, and I enjoyed making it. Every step of the work was fun, and it's surely one of my favorites.

Lior Messika

Two pictures i really liked, mainly because they were very natural, and not manipulated. Both have to do with water, and one of my first projects

Water drop

I uploaded this picture, because this kind of picture is very comonn, however my picture has my touch in it, it has a blue light inside the water drop. And i think that it makes the picture special and different from others

Alice In Wonderland

These are my favorite pictures from my project about Alice and Wonderland. I thought about using the original illustrations from the book and contrasting them with real images that I took. My favorite one is deffinitely the last one since I feel like it gives a sort of magical feeling about the book becoming real when no one is looking. All those pictures represent a theme in Alice, whether it being the surnatural drug theme or just the actual scenes from the book.

This is my favorite picture I have taken. This picture mostly focuses on the metal. I turned the background black and white and the metal red which makes this picture more interesting and stand out.

Light

The strong, sharp colors create an attractive setting That grabs the attention of a passerby. I like this photograph because it clearly emphasizes shapes; the shadows show layers of overlapping, creating an interesting maze. The light which falls between the two columns reminds me of a prison cell during the early hours of morning: when the sun's rays burst through the metal bars, showering beacons of light into the small room.

Red

I like this picture because the red is very strong and dark, and it is one of my favorite colors. The fact that the rest of the picture is black and white makes it more interesting, and that except from the red all the colors are gone and have been replaced by black, gray or white. I also like the angle of the whole picture, because from the front it would've been boring, and from the side it also would have been less interesting. The way the red brings out the metallic effect of this picture makes it also more interesting and makes the metal part of the picture look more important.

Bella

Reflection

This is one of my reflection projects
I like the angle of the reflection of my legs in the picture because it makes it less boring. If it were a straight line it would be less interesting.
I also like the color of the picture the way it is- it makes it look classic (or maybe I just like the color beige).

I took this photo when I was doing the water project. I really like how this photo turned out. This photo is one of my favorite photos. I like the shadow in it, and if you look closely you can see a reflection from the cup in the shadow. The details in this photo is what makes it really stand out to me.

Card

I choose this picture because I like the mystery about it. It also takes the regular concept of the rectangular card and changes its form into a hand- which can be interpreted in whatever way you perceive it. The background has a strong contrast to the hand which symbolizes the importance or the "stand out" of the hand.

"Bugs Life"

I decided to do the "bugs life" project because I thought it would be interesting to view life from a different perspective. This picture was one of my favorites because of its bright colors and the contrast between the darkness (closer to the ground) and the bright light shining in from outside. Nowadays all we see are the materialistic things we are surrounded by, this photo displays a bugs view of life; surrounded by nature, the way it should be.

Lizard's Point of View

This is one of my favorite photographs I've taken.
Its content is a landscape. The composition represents organic shapes in pink and brown muted colors. The focal point is the area between the stones, where the light comes through, and brings out the interesting textures of the leaves.

- Lear Gilbai

Nature

This is a picture I particularly like because I think the color adds so much to the picture making it somewhat magical. Also considering it’s a mud house, which is not something you see a lot nowadays, it makes it rare.

I chose this picture because I like the “strength” it portrays and I feel the black and white makes it much more dramatic.

I chose this picture because I like the contrast in color which you wont be able to find in real life.

Flowers standing out

I took this picture while we were learning to use photoshop. I like this picture because it really makes the flowers stand out. The other leaves around it look dead and boring but the flowers bring color and happiness into the photo. It reminds me that light and color can be found even in dark and gloomy places.

Swings

I like this picture because the composition of it is really interesting. This was the first photo I ever took in this class, and I was really surprised at how well it turned out. After I edited it with the "Levels" tool on Photoshop, the colors went from dull and boring to bright and lively. It kind of looks like a painting in some way because it looks pretty unrealistic, I like the shadows created and the rust on the chains. This picture reminds me of happiness and childhood memories.

-Maya Perry-
Personally I really enjoy looking at this picture. It gives me a very good feeling inside when I do. The star reminds of Christmas time that I celebrate with my whole family when back in Poland. I barely see my family now and therefore, this photograph is very special to me because it brings back warm and joyful memories.

Konrad Kucel

friedrich's picture

When I look at this image I think of something different every time, because there are lots of ways to describe it. This picture could represent the beginning of autumn, during which leafs tend to dry. It could also mean that a certain part of a plant is trying to be shown over others. Even though there is no perfect explanation for this picture, it perfectly represents the lack of water in Israel.

Water drop

I decide to post this photograph because
even if it was taken inside the school area
it has that natural feeling next to it. The
cold water-drop and leaf under the worm
sunlight makes the photo interesting. It is
a nice composition.

Cool Clear Water (part)

Many a time i walked
A well beaten track
In my search for water
Cool clear water
It was hot and dry
The sun hung high
When i searched for water
Cool clear water

by Allan James Saywell

Book of nature

I like this picture because i enjoyed making it, among other reasons. It was the first time I used and experimented with the warp edit function. The change of opacity in certain places make it look like an actual book, and darkening to make a slight shadow below the flipping page was fun to do.

-Ilay Anais-

Picture from the beach

I chose this picture because we clearly can see trough the water. The water is completely clean and transparent. I think when we see the picture we actually feel like if we were in the water and that is amazing. Effectively, the picture is taken from very close and that is what really makes this picture. This picture reminds me of holiday and summer.

Drinking water

I chose this because I really like the way the water formed when Nico was drinking it. I also like the reflecion in the water and the depth of field. I think that this picture shows how enjoyable drinking can be. It also makes me think about how important water is in our daily lifes.

Mask Photo and Seattle

This is one of the pictures I took for my mask project. I was reluctant to use myself for the picture, mostly because I dislike self portraits but also because it is extremely difficult to take pictures of yourself without a tripod. Some people told me the picture was creepy but I thought it fit well with the mask theme, and I liked the idea of using faces instead of actual masks.

This picture didn't really have a purpose, it was just something I started working on since I didn't have any photos for a project. The city in the eye is Seattle. After I started editing it I just had an idea to put something in the eye, and that's pretty much what came out of it.
It's Sea-eye-ttle! (lame joke, I know)

November 18 -- Library Project

The pictures I have taken from my library project are ones I particularly like because of the edits I did. The ones I have chosen to upload are my favorites from this project because....
Final 001: I like this one because there is a mix of two dull types of colors (black and white and, sepia) and I think it gives a uniqueness to it.
Final 002: The black and white bring out the magic in my favorite book, The Cat in the Hat, and I like that it accentuates just one book.
Final 016: I like this because it has subtle black and white mixed with really bright nice colors.

I chose this picture because I like the reflection in the water. Also the color of the chairs (blue) looks really cool. I took this picture at the pool. This was one of my first photos in this class so I thought that it was really cool to work on a photo with Photoshop and make it look better.
